Have you ever felt impotent because of not improving towards your full potential? As if you were really struggling and it was not enough? Or is it true that perhaps you have already resigned yourself to develop the professional that you know to be inside of you because you have not found the way?
I know how that feels because it has also happened to me.
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING

MAKING AN EFFORT IS NOT ENOUGH
You want the best results and because of that you demand the best of yourself. Improving requires effort, but do you do what most interests you in order to improve?
Despite being in the period of history with the most possibilities, in which any goal is achievable, it is not easy to discover what truly is important in order to focus on it.
Despite all the technological advances and all the available techniques and tools, project results have not approved, according to information obtained from the surveys.
IT IS A REALITY THAT CONSTANTLY HAPPENS
This occurs for three main reasons:
We keep doing more of the same. We are sure that we would like to improve, but nonetheless we put all of our effort into doing things the same way. In conclusion, we get the same results.
We do what everyone else does. We live in a world that is rapidly changing. As a natural reaction, we follow the herd. The possible uncertainty of doing things our own way makes us uneasy.
There is too much information. Lean Six Sigma, Agile, PMP, Scrum, Prince, APMP… Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter…, it is complicated to make the right decisions.
YOU NEED TO TURN YOURSELF INTO A LEADER
“Leading a team consists of inspiring people to reach their full potential in order to do the best work and obtain the best results possible when developing the project”
Up until only a few years ago, anybody with an education would be guaranteed of a successful career. Their future was guaranteed. Now, however, it does not work that way.
Projects are becoming more and more like the Tower of Babel. Intercultural teams, sponsors, clients, departments, members, interested parties, and more. All working towards their own goals without thinking about others. In such an environment, it is necessary to be a leader for the project to succeed and for it to surpass expectations.
If you could lead the project…
In the book “How to Ensure Success in Project Leadership”, I explain the five habits that will allow you to make considerable progress as a project-management professional.
WHAT OTHERS ARE SAYING
“Excellent Presentation – thoughtful, and practical points that can be put into practice. And full of hope – because it is tough sometimes, and realising that challenges faced by Project Managers across the globe are similar is a relief”
– M. Graetsch
“Thank you for such simple but useful tips and habits. Great presentation”
– V. Assokane
LEADERSHIP ABILITIES ARE THE PATH TOWARDS YOUR MAXIMUM POTENTIAL
PMI has already revealed this fact, after having surveyed thousands of project-management professionals from around the world. Leadership abilities are the most important when it comes to achieving good results on complex projects, according to four out of five of those surveyed.
You will have realized this. Despite trying to improve the technical aspects of your professional field, you do not improve in proportion to the effort you make. Nor do you improve as much as you feel you could.
The technical aspects are half of the equation. Dale Carnegie said that each person’s financial success is due to 85% leadership abilities and 15% technical ones. Do you understand the scope of that to which you have probably dedicated less time?
To Reach Your Full Potential it is necessary to develop Leadership Abilities. This development brings with it other benefits:
Achieving your full potential
Inspiring and motivating the team to give their best performance and develop the most.
Guiding the project through a shared vision.
Improving productivity and increasing profit.
Creating more leaders.
Keeping clients and getting new ones.
Making difficult decisions.
Facilitating new goals for the company.
Keeping teams that perform highly with the company.
Feeding a culture of growth and confidence.
Gaining clarity within a complex environment.
Developing cooperation at all levels
And finally, achieving the best results possible on a project.
“The best project results can only be obtained after having achieved your full potential”
YOU CAN DO IT
Everybody carries the spirit of a leader within them and it is your responsibility to free it. What will foster your transformation into a project leader is your desire to absorb and apply leadership skills. The correct attitude is responsible for the results we achieve.
What would it be like if you developed and achieved the potential you know you have inside of you?
